who was a pupil of Ossip Zadkine in Paris. The academic training she received enabled her to work as a copyist of the greatest classics, including Rodin, Pompon and Giacometti. Sonia Queija has carried out numerous commissions for the Musée Grévin and for several French museums and municipalities.

As a sculptor, she is also developing her own collection, creating series of contemplative figures that can form large-scale installations, such as the Travellers, Couples, Workers and Pauses series. Through this sensitive work, she captures attitudes and postures; faces and hands revealing thought, affect and sensation.
