French. « Born in 1947 in Casablanca, Morocco, living a nomad style childhood within the Mediterranean basin, I kept the love of the earth, the light and the dust that the sun produces. Several years spent in Uruguay immersed me into a laidback atmosphere, then maternity developed my sense of touch, my taste for static movement, and a sense of humor necessary to resist the upsurge.” After studying dentistry, Dominique Amiel Zonca decided to devote herself to sculpting and worked for ten years at the atelier Nicolas Poussin, then at the Miroiterie Bastille where she has profited from Professor Alain Vuarchex’s instruction.
